Shital Parikh

Dr Shital Parikh is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Co-Director of Orthopaedic Sports Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, USA. He specializes in Pediatric Sports Medicine with clinical and research interests focused on Patellar instability, pediatric ACL injuries, arthroscopic treatment of joint instability and pediatric trauma. After completion of Orthopaedic Residency from India, he completed fellowships in 1) Joint Reconstruction at Hospital for Joint Diseases, New York; 2) Pediatric Orthopaedics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, 3) Trauma fellowship at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto and 4) Sports Medicine Fellowship in Cincinnati under Dr Frank Noyes.

He has published >150 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, contributed >20 chapters in textbooks, and has been the editor of 2 books – Pediatric ACL (published Dec 2017) and Patellar Instability (published Mar 2019). He has presented and has been faculty at various national and international courses and meetings. He is a member of several societies including International Patellofemoral Study Group, Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America and Arthroscopy Association of North America. He was awarded the ISAKOS Patellofemoral traveling fellowship in Oct 2014. He is the PI for JUPITER patellofemoral studies which has won several awards, including AOSSM historic grant for multicenter studies.
