Julio Duart, MD, PhD, is a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Hospital Universitario de Navarra and Visiting Professor at the Universidad de Navarra.

He serves as President of the Sociedad Española de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología and is a member of the Sports Study Group of the European Paediatric Orthopaedic Society. He is also a member of the National Specialty Commission of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Ministerio de Sanidad of the Spanish Government.

Dr. Duart’s research focuses on paediatric orthopaedics and sports medicine, with particular emphasis on sports-related injuries in the skeletally immature population. His work is centred on injury prevention strategies, optimisation of treatment pathways, and improving clinical outcomes in the young athlete.
