By Tram and Bus

Walking

  • From Sheffield Train Station, head uphill towards Sheffield Hallam University campus on Hallam Square. 

  • From here, turn right onto Arundel Gate past the Millennium Gallery and then left onto Surrey Street.

  • Once you are at the Town Hall, turn left onto Barker's Pool and you will find yourself in front of the City Hall. 

By Taxi

  • A taxi from Sheffield train station is approximately a12-minute journey.

  • ​Taxis can cost between £5-£10 from the train station.

By Car

From the South/East (M1)

  • Exit the M1 at junction 33 and follow signs for the city center along the A630/A57 Parkway.

  • After approximately 6 miles, take a slight right onto Derek Dooley Way. Continue onto the A61.

  • Take a slight left onto Corporation Street. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Tenter Street.

  • Turn left onto Townhead Street, right onto Pinfold Street, then the first left onto Holly Street. Continue onto Balm Green and the City Hall is on your right. 

  • Local car parks can be found on Carver Lane, Rockingham Street or NCP Wellington Street.
