Sanjeev Anand

Mr Anand is a Consultant knee surgeon with a tertiary referral practice at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He has a particular interest in managing knee conditions, including sports injuries, in children and adolescents.

He completed his orthopaedic training in London and Leeds, and subsequently undertook specialist fellowship training in arthroplasty and sports injuries in Australia.

Mr Anand is an experienced arthroscopy trainer and regularly delivers skills workshops for orthopaedic trainees. He is a founder member and Executive Director of the International Society for Knowledge for Surgeons on Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty (ISKSAA), and serves as Executive Editor of the Journal of Arthroscopy and Joint Surgery.

He has played a leading role in developing national guidelines for ACL reconstruction and has contributed to guidance on patellofemoral disorders and arthroscopic meniscal surgery.

He is currently Academic Secretary for BOSTAA, President of BIOS, and an Executive Member of the British Patellofemoral Society (BPFS).

Mr Anand is frequently invited to present his work at national and international meetings. He has published extensively on knee surgery and has contributed chapters to several textbooks.
